Tengku Ridhwanuddin

Tengku Ahmad Ridhwanuddin is an expert in Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). Throughout his career of nearly 10 years, he has helped end users with technical consultation and solutions relating to apps that utilise GNSS, location-based services and digital infrastructure.

Experience

Prior to joining RHL, Ridhwanuddin worked with several companies and institutions in Australia and New Zealand. He began his career in 2010 at ThinkSpatial, Australia before joining GPSnet at the Department of Sustainability and Environment in Victoria, Australia in 2012. Later Ridhwanuddin joined Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies in New Zealand as a researcher and developer.

He has also worked at the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRC-SI), Australia, as a Satellite Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) Data Analyst. In that role, he conducted data validation and analysis for projects exploring the application and benefits of SBAS across nominated industry sectors in Australia and New Zealand.

Between 2011 and 2017, Ridhwanuddin was with the University of Melbourne’s Department of Infrastructure Engineering as a tutor and demonstrator; conducting classes, lectures and demonstrations for both undergraduates and master’s students.

Throughout his career, Ridhwanuddin has won several professional and academic accolades. Some of these include the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information 2016 award for Best Project (Blockchain Commercialisation Solvathon) and the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award – which required the completion of a year of volunteering, outdoor expeditions and skill-building programs.

He holds a PhD in GNSS Data Processing and a Bachelor of Geomatics Engineering (Honours); both from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
